Dhillon Scanning centre is the old and the largest scanning center in Punjab. Established in 1984 by Dr Tejinder Singh Dhillon, Ex Professor of Radiology, Medical College, Amritsar.The center has been the leader in using the modern technology and most uptodate equipments throughout all these years.The begining was made with a small black and white ultrasound scanner in 1984. It was replaced by a colour doppler scanner in 1991. In 1993 ultrafast CT.scan from Siemen Germany was introduced. In the same year colour doppler Echo cardiography was started with a qualified cardiologist Dr. Ranbir Sigh Gill. In 1995 open MRI system and mammography were introduced.

The last ten years saw a sea change in technology and the center has added to its diagnostic armamentariun a state of the art high definition super conducting MRI System of 1.5 tesla imported from G.E America and is functioned since March 2007. It is a 16 channels premium system. Multi slice spiral C.T, 3D-4D Colour doppler Ultra sound machines, Digital X Ray, Digital mammography and Path Lab.

The latest addition is the Ultrafast high definition subsecond C.T.Scanner from GE USA in July 2011. It is capable of taking 365 slices in one second, as such the cardiac angiography is completed in a shortest period of 5seconds and the whole body scan is completed in 10seconds. The great advantage of this machine is the ultra low dose of radiation as such safe for the human body. It has the approval of F.D.I U.S.A and AERB India.
